Ingredients
  

  • 1 orange peeled
  • 1 small piece of fresh turmeric root or 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1- inch piece of fresh ginger root
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tbsp honey optional, for sweetness
  • 1 cup cold water or coconut water

Equipment

  • Juicer or blender
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Glass or pitcher for serving

Method
 

  1. Peel and chop the orange, ginger, and turmeric into smaller pieces.
  2. If using a juicer, feed the ingredients through the machine. If using a blender, add all ingredients and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the juice into a glass or pitcher and stir in black pepper.
  4. Optional: Add honey to taste for sweetness.
  5. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Turmeric stains, so be careful when handling it.
  • For a more intense flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or lemon juice.
  • If you don’t have fresh turmeric, powdered turmeric works just as well.
  • You can adjust the sweetness based on your preferences by adding more or less honey.
