  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast or chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • For Hot Honey Sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 –2 tbsp hot sauce
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper optional
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • For Bowl Assembly
  • 3 cups mixed greens
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice quinoa, or wild rice
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber chopped
  • ½ red onion sliced
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • ¼ cup feta cheese optional
  • Seeds or herbs for topping optional

Method
 

  1. Mix honey, olive oil, hot sauce, garlic, paprika, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and lemon juice to make the marinade.
  2. Add chicken to the marinade and coat well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or longer for better flavor.
  3. Cook chicken in a skillet, grill, or air fryer until fully cooked and reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. Mix honey, hot sauce, chili flakes, and vinegar to prepare the hot honey sauce.
  5. Add greens and grains to a bowl.
  6. Top with vegetables, sliced chicken, and hot honey sauce.
  7. Add your favorite toppings and serve fresh.

Notes

Use chicken thighs for extra juicy and flavorful results or chicken breast for a leaner option.
Adjust spice levels by adding more or less hot sauce and chili flakes.
Keep chicken, sauce, and vegetables stored separately for easy meal prep.
