Ingredients

  • 1-2 scoops of Protein Powder flavored or unflavored, depending on preference
  • 2 tbsp of Gelatin for texture and firmness
  • 1 cup of Water or Fruit Juice liquid base for dissolving gelatin
  • 2-3 tbsp of Honey or Maple Syrup for natural sweetness
  • 1/4 tsp of Citric Acid optional, for a tangy flavor
  • 1/4 cup of Fruit Puree or Juice for additional flavor and color
  • 1 pinch of Salt to balance sweetness

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Silicone molds (or an ice cube tray)
  • Stirring spoon or whisk
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cup

Method

  1. Prepare the Gelatin: In a small saucepan, combine 2 tbsp of gelatin with 1/4 cup of water or fruit juice. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. Heat the Liquid: After 5 minutes, add 3/4 cup more water or fruit juice to the saucepan and heat over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  3. Mix in Protein Powder: Once the gelatin mixture is smooth, add 1-2 scoops of protein powder. Stir until fully incorporated.
  4. Add Sweeteners and Flavor: Stir in 2-3 tbsp of honey or maple syrup for sweetness. Then, add 1/4 cup of fruit puree or juice and, if desired, 1/4 tsp of citric acid for a tangy kick. Mix well.
  5. Mold the Gummies: Pour the mixture into silicone molds or an ice cube tray. Fill each mold evenly.
  6. Refrigerate and Set: Place the molds in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or until the gummies are fully set.
  7. Unmold and Enjoy: Once firm, gently pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

  • Flavor Variations: Feel free to experiment with different fruit juices and protein powder flavors to customize your gummies to your taste.
  • Storage: Store the gummies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. You can also freeze them for longer storage (up to 3 months).
  • Gelatin Consistency: Adjust the amount of gelatin for firmer or softer gummies. More gelatin will create a firmer texture, while less will make them softer.
  • Citric Acid: This is optional but adds a nice tanginess to balance the sweetness, especially if you're using fruit juice with high sugar content.
