Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon balm leaves or 1 teaspoon dried
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Honey or lemon optional

Method
 

  1. Wash the lemon balm leaves thoroughly.
  2. Place leaves in a teapot or cup.
  3. Pour hot water over the leaves.
  4. Allow the mixture to steep for 5–10 minutes.
  5. Strain the leaves and pour into a cup.
  6. Add honey or a slice of lemon if desired.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • For stronger flavor, gently crush the leaves before steeping.
  • Steep for no more than 10 minutes to avoid bitterness.
  • Fresh lemon balm is preferred, but dried leaves work well if fresh isn’t available.
  • Can be enjoyed hot or iced.
  • Store dried leaves in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
