  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes adjust to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander cilantro for garnish
  • ½ cup water or as needed to form a batter
  • Olive oil or vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, cumin powder, coriander powder, chili flakes, and salt. Gradually add water while stirring, until you form a smooth batter of pancake-like consistency.
  2. Heat the Pan: Place a frying pan or skillet on medium heat. Add a small amount of olive oil or vegetable oil and let it heat up.
  3. Cook the Snacks: Using a spoon or ladle, scoop small portions of the batter and drop them into the hot pan. Flatten them slightly with the back of the spoon to form bite-sized shapes. Cook on medium heat, flipping occasionally, until both sides are golden and crispy.
  4. Drain and Garnish: Once the snacks are golden brown and crisp, remove them from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Garnish with fresh coriander (cilantro) leaves.
