Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and lightly greasing it.
Add honey, sugar, butter, water, and salt to a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Cook the mixture until it reaches 235–240°F (113–116°C) on a candy thermometer.
Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and allow it to cool until warm enough to handle.
Butter your hands and pull the candy repeatedly for 5–10 minutes until it becomes lighter in color and chewy.
Roll the taffy into a rope, cut it into small pieces, and wrap each piece in parchment paper.
