Ingredients

  • For the Chocolate Brownie Cake:
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk or buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • For Chocolate Frosting:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • 2 –3 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Bundt cake pan or round cake pan
  • Large mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Electric mixer or whisk
  • Rubber spatula
  • Cake tester or toothpick
  • Cooling rack
  • Parchment paper (optional)
  • Frosting piping bag (optional)

Method

  1. Prepare the Cake Pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the bundt cake pan thoroughly to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugars. Mix well.
  3. Prepare Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk eggs, melted butter, oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine the Batter: Slowly add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the cake soft and moist.
  5. Add Chocolate Chips: Fold chocolate chips into the batter for extra chocolate richness.
  6. Bake the Cake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool the Cake: Allow the cake to cool for 10–15 minutes before removing it from the pan. Place it on a cooling rack to cool completely.
  8. Add Frosting: Mix frosting ingredients until smooth and creamy. Drizzle or spread the chocolate frosting over the cooled cake.
  9. Serve and Enjoy: Slice and serve your Galactic Brownie Cake Nothing Bundt with ice cream, whipped cream, or fresh berries.

Notes

  • Use high-quality cocoa powder and chocolate chips for a deeper chocolate flavor.
  • Do not overbake the cake, as brownie-style desserts taste best when they remain moist.
  • Let the cake cool completely before adding frosting to prevent melting.
  • For extra richness, add espresso powder or melted dark chocolate to the batter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
  • The cake can be customized with nuts, caramel drizzle, or extra chocolate toppings for a unique variation.
