In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly across the dough. Roll the dough into a log and cut it into 8-10 equal-sized pieces. Place them on the prepared baking tray.
