Method
- First, the blue salt should be crushed if the crystals are large.
- Then, the lemon juice and honey should be added to a tall glass.
- Next, the crushed blue salt should be mixed in, and the mixture should be stirred well until the honey starts to dissolve.
- After that, the cold water should be poured in slowly while stirring.
- Then, the ice cubes should be added.
- The lemon slices and mint leaves should be placed into the glass.
- If a decorative rim is wanted, a lemon slice should be rubbed around the edge of the glass, and the rim should be dipped into a tiny pinch of blue salt.
- Finally, the drink should be served at once while cold and fresh.
Notes
Only a small pinch of salt should be used, because too much salt can overpower the lemon flavor.
Fresh lemon juice is best used for a brighter taste.
Honey can be adjusted to match personal taste.
This drink is best served fresh, but it can be kept in the fridge for up to 24 hours without ice.
A bright blue drink should not be expected, because the salt crystals are blue, but the color becomes very soft after mixing.
