- Cook noodles in boiling water for 4-5 minutes, then drain, leaving a little water.
- Mix sauce: Combine gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil.
- Toss noodles with the sauce until well coated.
- Garnish with spring onions and a boiled egg, then serve.
Notes
- Adjusting the Spice: If you’re not a fan of extremely spicy food, you can reduce the amount of gochugaru or gochujang. Start with half the recommended amount and taste as you go.
- Toppings: Feel free to get creative with your toppings. Grilled chicken, tofu, or even kimchi can add extra texture and flavour to the ramen.
- Broth Option: For a soupier version, add a bit of broth to the noodles before mixing in the sauce.
- Storage: This dish is best served fresh, but if you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1-2 days. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
