Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard optional, for extra creaminess

  • 1 clove garlic minced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup optional, for a touch of sweetness

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl or jar, combine the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard (if using), and honey (if using).

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding more vinegar or honey if needed.
  6. Store the vinaigrette in the refrigerator for up to a week.
