Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 small lime juiced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 small tomato diced
  • 1-2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1 small jalapeño finely chopped

Equipment

  • Fork or potato masher

Method
 

  1. Cut avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher to your desired consistency.
  3. Add lime juice, red onion, tomato, garlic, and cilantro. Mix gently.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, and stir to combine. Adjust lime or seasoning as desired.
  5. If using jalapeño, fold it in carefully for extra heat.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or use as a topping for tacos and other dishes

  • For extra freshness, make the guacamole just before serving to prevent browning.
